Sing Along with Linkin Park’s What I’ve Done

I’m sure you are familiar with this song from Linkin Park. Well aside of course from the theme of Transformers, What I’ve Done is also included on the soundtrack album of the ever super famous The Transformers. You can actually hear the song on the last part; I didn’t notice it was played on the last part of the movie. Anyway, I am not a fan of Linkin Park but I guess it’s worth blogging. So get that Saab Radiator Hose away and sing along with Linkin Park’s What I’ve done.

What I’ve Done

In this farewell
There’s no blood
There’s no Alibi
‘Cause I’ve Drawn Regret
For the Truth
Of a Thousand Lies

So let Mercy Come
And Wash Away
What I’ve Done

I’ve Faced myself
To Cross out what I’ve Become
Erase Myself
And let Go of What I’ve done

Put to rest
What you Thought of Me
Well I Cleaned this Slate
With the Hands of Uncertainty

So let Mercy Come
And Wash Away
What I’ve Done

I’ve Faced myself
To Cross out what I’ve Become
Erase Myself
And let Go of What I’ve done

For What I’ve Done
I’ll start again
And whatever pain may come
Today this ends
I’m Forgiving What I’ve Done!!!

I’ve Faced myself
To Cross out what I’ve Become
Erase Myself
And let Go of What I’ve done

What I’ve Done
Forgiving What I’ve Done

The Transformers: The 1986 Movie

Before the 2007 The Transformers was released, a movie in 1986 entitled “The Transformers” was also released it is a Japanese animated movie that was made popular by the TV series, Transformers. I was actually looking for Kia Catalytic Converter when I accidentally hit this news that Sony is releasing the 20th anniversary DVD for The Transformers: The 1986 Movie.

Well anyway, the TV series was released in the US on August 8, 1986 but went to Japan in August 9, 1989. Several movies were also made like the Transformers the Movie: Apocalypse! Matrix Forever which was released in summer of 1987 in Japan.

The movie was directed by Nelson Shin who is also the producer of the TV series. Voices of Eric Idle, Leonard Nimoy, Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, Casey Kasem, John Moschitta, Frank Welker and Peter Cullen were featured on the movie, giving lives to the transformer characters. Jazz: The Pontiac Solstice

Everybody got disappointed when Jazz, the Pontiac Solstice died in the movie. Well, let me change “die” to “got totally wrecked”. It was when all the Autobots were battling up with Megatron he was moving too fast, he flew over the building top. He was captured by Megatron and since the villain is more powerful than him. He could not resist the hold of his grip. He was broken apart. It was finally when Optimus Prime said they cannot do anything about Jazz. Well, maybe that’s the end of his appearance in “the Transformers."

Anyway, let's look closer to who Jazz is. He also appeared in several versions of the Transformers including on some TV series. Jazz also is referred to a Meister as his Japanese name.

Michael Bay gave life to Jazz on the movie released this 2007. Jazz was the rock-n-roll; easy-go-lucky type of autobot in the movie. He is the sweetest and most loving character, transforming into a Pontiac Solstice as his car mode. He was also the best looking autobot. Well, account the luxurious Pontiac Solstice for making himself land from the Cybertron to a place closer to the showroom of the looping Pontiac. He scanned the car and makes it as his own car mode. Cool huh?

He is also known because of his G1 personality. Jazz wears visor, front-chassis chest as well as wheels on his autobot mode. You can see a teeny hippy type of personality in him. He is also wearing the customized silver and gray paint job almost similar to the weekend racer concept. He is actually a Pontiac Solstice GXP only that he transforms into a powerful autobot.

His weapons are consisting of sword and shield. He is also wearing a machine gun on his car parts. Of course a Solstice can’t wear a Honda nerf bar right? Anyway, he also has an electro-magnet in his right arm which is used to disarm human of their guns that could cause them injuries.

He is also the rock star of the group, playing songs almost in between rock and hip-hop.

Who Is Optimus Prime?

Okay, we have known this character as the leader of the Autobots on the “Transformers” the movie. And we will be looking deeper at Optimus Prime this time. There few things you don’t know about him and you can only get closer to who really he is if you read this blog.

Optimus Prime is the famous autobot who transforms himself to a conventional Peterbilt cab on its car state. Optimus was supposedly wearing the Generation 1 vehicle but the film chose the old version which is more powerful and more masculine. His features do not include the Saturn oxygen sensor but the large cab implicates the huge authority of Optimus Prime towards his fellow Autobots. His exterior car parts are covered with red flames painted on his blue cover.

Optimus Prime is the biggest autobot among the five characters. Viewers have this impression that Optimus Prime maybe a little in between 30 – 45 years on human age. His voice was given life by Peter Cullen, a Canadian personality who also narrates in the Voltron series. Cullen also was featured giving voices to KARR in Knight Rider, Winnie-the-Pooh’s Eeyore, Bomba and Antor, Dino-Riders’ Gunner as well as The Pirates of Dark Water’s Mantus.

Optimus Prime also wears the toughest image in the film. On its robot mode, Optimus features red torso and blue legs. This chest is more emphasized by the windows of the cab. The air filters serves as his powerful shoulders while his head was the combination of the faceplate and the antenna. The faceplate opens and serves as his mouth. He is also handling a rifle and a blade that is attached to its right forearm.

He is also known to love human because he said, they are just like them once. He also revealed to Sam the real identity of his grand father and the relevance of his grandfather’s eyeglasses to the story.

(thanks to wikipedia for the info)

Ironhide: The GMC Topkick C4500 Pick Up Truck

Still can’t stop the “Transformers” craze? Well, let me give you another interesting blog about it. For months, we have been talking about BumbleBee, Optimus Prime and Megatron but we forget about Ironhide. Are you familiar who Ironhide is? He was the AutoBot who appears to be the GMC Topkick C4500 pickup truck when he is on a car mode. On the original animated series, Peter Cullen was the one to gave voice to Ironhide but it was Jess Harnell who voiced over for him in the 2007 Movie released by Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Production.

Ironhide is the oldest friend of Optimus Prime and also the oldest among the AutoBots. His weapon includes missile launchers found on his forearm as well as a machine gun on attached to the missle launcher on his right forearm. Ironhide has the numerous amounts of guns on his body compared to the other AutoBots in the movie.

If you can recall, Ironhide was the one who lands on a pool where the girl asked him, “Are you the tooth fairy?” After he crashes, he sneaks to the highway and scans the GMC Topkick pickup truck, configures the vehicles and make it his own form. After transforming himself to a gorgeous GMC truck he headed to Bumblebee’s location where they all meet.

He is the gun-happy Autobot among the group. He is fond of showing off his armors to people that annoy him. I remember when Sam’s dog showed up on the garden when they were looking for Sam’s grandfather’s eye glasses, he showed up his guns and asked, “What is you?” Among the robots, he has the least passion towards human, he even asked Optimus Prime why they had to protect humans describing them as primitive and violent and he was reminded that they are not too different from the race.

Of course, Ironhide doesn’t wear Kia oxygen sensor because he is a GMC car, but he has one among the best skills in fighting. He plays a huge role on the final battle. It was when Bumblebee was unable to move and he covers him up trying to battle up with three more Decepticons.

The Chinese Transformers

Chinese car manufacturers are known makers of tires but are also known makers of knockoff models as well. When I was reading about AEM Cold Air Intakes, Jinky told me to visit autoblog.com. She knew how much I love the transformers so she showed me about the Chinese transformers. Now, even the Transformers are created with knockoffs.

The transformer was actually coming from the sister country of China, Japan . But it becomes a bigger hit when it was adopted by an American film maker. After several years being a TV series it was produced into a block buster movie I admit I can’t have enough of it. The movie which was released last month was a total blast on the movie industry. Michael Bay directed the movie.

The popularity of the Movie moved the Chinese car makers to make their own version of the Transformers. They also have their own names and own profile. Florida is one of the Chinese Transformers which was taken from the four-wheel drive Toyota car model. Florida transforms into a 3.91 meters tall robot and he loves Paris Hilton. He also loves the movie “Mission Impossible” prefers Justin Timberlake. Other characters were Coolbear, Perry and i7.

We all knew about the collapsing Chinese car on public road and I guess we should not expect a better Chinese Transformers. If ever they made it into real cars, do you think they can be as powerful as Bumble Bee? I guess these ChinaBots don’t deserve to get applause from Optimus Prime.
